Land Transfer Process

The land transfer process in Richland County in governed by the Richland County Standards for Approval of Real Property Transfer. The Tax Map Office reviews new transfers for compliance with the adopted standards.

Richland County Regional Planning has adopted subdivision standards that are also to be followed for major/minor subdivisions. Information can be found here.

Land Transfers are recorded in the Richland County Recorder’s Office.

Lot Split Process
