 Richland County plans to replace bridge on Townline Road in Butler Township, Richland County, Ohio

 The Richland County Engineer’s Office (RCEO), in coordination with Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 3, is currently preparing plans for bridge replacement work along Townline Road (TR 79), approximately 250 feet north of the Townline Road and Noble Road intersection in Butler Township. The project proposes to improve Townline Road by replacing the existing bridge over Clear Creek with a single-span prestressed non-composite concrete box beam bridge. Construction is anticipated to begin in the spring/summer of 2025 and is expected to last approximately three (3) months. The bridge will be closed to traffic during construction.

The project will require a 90-day detour of vehicular traffic.  The Townline Road northbound detour will be: west on Noble Road to north on Strimple Road, to east on Baseline Road. The Townline Road southbound detour will be the reverse of the northbound detour.  Local traffic will be maintained to all abutting properties.
